Resona - where meditation
and art come together

Spontaneous imagery is a natural part of meditation. While everyday thinking tends to be verbal, your subconscious mind is a lot more visual and symbolic. I got inspired by the visuals I saw during a meditation session and let that guide me while creating some patterns. The name is inspired the phenomenon of resonance, an object vibrating at natural frequency.

Letting the creativity flow -

Hypnotic visuals that ‘breathe’ in time with breathing patterns are clinically-proven to promote relaxation. Combine this with handcrafted musical soundscapes made with scientific rigor to reduce stress. It is common to see moving geometrical shapes and patterns while you meditate. They appear like light and colors. Experienced meditators often report spontaneous visual imagery during deep meditation in the form of lights or other types of visual images. These experiences are usually interpreted as an “encounters with light” and gain mystical meaning.

Creating the brand -

What if there was a place where fellow meditation lovers could meet and create inspiring visuals together and record these visuals some place to share with the world. Wanting to take the visuals further I developed the idea of creating the Resona application, a meditation meetup platform that also allows you to upload your artwork and share with other meditation enthusiasts.

The inspiration for the application is a combination of ‘Meetup’ and NFTs that have been trending. You can browse through art meditation events that take place within the city. Each person signed up on the application has a profile and can follow other friends who also participate in events. By following a person you can also view all the artworks they have uploaded. Similar to Instagram, you can like a person’s artwork and upload your own. The idea is to motivate and encourage participants to get together and become creative in a truly freeing way.

While designing I made sure to check for accessibility and also designed for light mode.
